Justine, It's the silly bloke who used to go to The City's Cannons Healthclub when you worked there as a receptionist in summer 2003; Even back then you were an inspirational character with your wacky hair colour and happy-go-lucky attitude to life; But what has happened since is truely amazing, and I just felt that I had to pop this note to you; The first that I heard of you being dianosed with LAM and your double lung transplant was when I read about it in a Chelmsford newspaper this week; You are one brave person Justine and your story is one of the most humbling that I have ever read; To get to where you are now is a credit to you; May I wish you all the luck for your future- your continued recovery, your career ambitions and your wedding next year, Matt PS; Getting a Donor Card is now the first thing on my New Year's "To Do" list;

I hope you enjoy your friend's wedding, and that your next check-up is a success :) Loads of love, Kat xxx

Dear Justine, How are you doing on this tumultuously stormy Saturday; Marvellous I hope? I hope JK enjoyed the football result this lunch and is in a divine mood (e;g cooking for you, foot rubs for his lady, making you T, bringing you in chocolate and other goodies etc etc!); Well my little feet are soaked, so I am in an itnernet cafe checking up on any news; Having wet feet stinks; It is a veyr old part of Spain and the drains flooded (due to the huge storm due in England tomorrow) the streets so I am soaked through to the skin; Still at least the internet cafe is snug as bug in a rug; Well better go and check yahoo; Feeling a bit better now already as I am out of the rain; See you in a while crocodile, oodles of love as ever, Nashy Jnr

Hello tiger, Nice to read your diary entries and see that your next hopspital visit is a little further along the horizon; Sorry to hear you have a cold, it makes getting up in the morning that bit more difficult; I should be able to bring you back some Spanish olives, although I hope they let me have them in my hand luggage as my mum has had some accidents bringing them back before (she says some of her clothes never smelt the same again);) Mum and dad love them but they are rather an acquired taste; I keep trying them but they still taste too salty; I get a whisky face when I eat them; Mum is taking me off to Jerez tomorrow, where proper sherry comes from; Luckily there are some old school churches to look at because I can´t stand sherry; See you mid-december my dear and hope you feel a bit brighter too; Ooodles of hugs, love and some not too cheeky kisses; (oh and please send Kohny my commiserations on some hopeless Arsenal performances); Nashy Jnr
30 November 2006 - Near Estepona in Spain
Justine Responds:
Oh hello you...sounds like you are having fun out there. Hmm...salty olives not my cuppa either...what about the green olives minus garlic flavour? Well if you do find...will be a mission that you would have solved..he he. X |

Have got my fingers crossed for tomorrow; And don't forget, in the worst scenario, radiation therapy is not necessarily bad for everybody; Or is it three weeks in hospital you don't fancy? You have already been through far worse than both of those and come through it; In the best case scenario you'll be laughing! As you always are anyway! Good luck
22 October 2006 - Althorne
Justine Responds:
I do not fancy 3 weeks in hospital, especially as I have had a free reign in the real world and do not want to be cooped up again - that's why. X |

Hi Justine, fingers crossed for your results, that they will be ok; Im feeling ok, really well, i had a chest infection a few weeks ago but shook it off really quickly, so really hope my naughty lung is clearing up too; Anyway, i straightened my hair a few weeks back, using that new Boots kit, is ok but my hair is still doing its own thing; I dyed it last week and got an awful shock, it didnt come out the same colour on the box-OOPS! Its come out bright copper, is taking some getting used to, i didnt realise that the colour would take to my hair a lot stronger after straightening it; David says he can see me from quite a distance away, handy for when he is trying to look for me! Take care and speak to you again soon, hugs xx
21 October 2006 - Isle of Man
Justine Responds:
How are things with you now and David? And are you happy with your hair colour being a bright copper? Too many questions...ha ha..so speak to you soon. X |

Dear Justine, Great to read a few days of diary entries; Glad that stairs are no longer the obstacle that they once represented; The thought process behind going up those stairs is a winner, anything is possible if you have a because I can attitude to life; It is the wedding morning so I have got to be fairly brief; The day is a little overcast but I am hoping the meteorological board have made a mistake with their predictions of showers; Sarge and Gary stayed with James parents last night; We are to go and meet up later to get into our suits, then off for a final beer at the Skiff club before heading to the church; I think Flinty is already nervous about his speech but he is talking a good game (so far); Well i better go but I will let you know how the big day went tomorrow; You are never far from my thoughts my dear, lots of love and hugs, Ol

We all have aour final suit fittings coming up, which is quite exciting considering I have been doing a great impression of a hobo; Flinty and Moorsey went out on the town last night and raced cockroaches! I know that is what i thought when they told me this morning; Apparently they both won their races, a few jugs of beer! Those lads; Okay i am off for a walk but have a super day and the guys all send oodles of love, Oli & Gary

To my dear lady of the Nuclear Medicine DPTA Nebuliser Scan fame!, What a mouthful! You certainly did have a long and arduous day to say the least; I don't like the sound of nuclear medicine it reminds me too much of Doctor Bruce Banner or weird spiders that gave Peter Parker his power; However you seemed to have handled it like the strong willed, never-say-die, go gettum girl we all know and LOVE! I hope the wait is not too painful this week; We are all thinking of you out here in not so sunny Oz; Take care of yourself my lovely and I will keep up the PMA for you all this week; By the way your entry was wonderful, informative and bloomin interesting (and I don't like doctory stuff for obvious reasons!) even for a scaredy cat like me; Lots of love, luck and hugs, Oli ;]

Dear Justine Thinking of you and hoping that all goes well tomorrow; I went to a little church in the country to light a candle for you; The church roof was covered with untidy stork's nests! Re-reading some of the diary entries from earlier in the year, it seems hard to believe that you are now out and about shopping and there's nothing like a few hours in the hairdresser's to make one feel ready to face anything! Love Helena x

Hi Justine, am keeping everything crossed that monday goes ok for you; Hope you enjoyed your not so little shopping trip the other day(!), we have just been away to Liverpool and had a great time; The clothes are soooo cheap over there, my eyes kept popping out! We are going to try and get away again very soon and do the xmas shopping this time; Need to go shopping more often, life is too short not to; Boat was very rough going back home, but thats the downfall to being born on an island :( Take care and hope you had a good friday the 13th, today wasnt too good, youngest daughter has come down with chicken pox and my dad got mugged on holiday(but he is ok!), i got a bag of m&m's to cheer myself up and spilt half of them; But apart from all that, has been a good day, i feel ok, touch wood and hopefully i get better soon; Take care and huge hugs! xx

Hey Hon, It's been a while but what a change to the website, just thinking about what you went through this past year was hard, but now after the transplant, the website is just shining with happiness and constant updates, i have to hold my hands up and say that i've missed reading the website - so I had a very good catch up session!!!; I was sad to hear about Mervet, she sounded wonderful, it's true - a child should never leave before their parents, and it's all the more reason to enjoy life now rather than wait for it to pass you by; and it will, quickly!! I hope to catch up with you at some point, but because of all the activities you do now (even before you got sick; you were always on the go) it sounds like i'll be booking up a date after Christmas;in time for your next birthday; anyways this is just a short note, i'll text you and hope to meet up very soon;
11 October 2006 - Leatherhead; again
Justine Responds:
Your right...it will prob be for my Birthday next year we all get to meet up again, although, I would like to see you both before if I can squeeze you into my diary...he he. Oh, and if it gets to be on my Birthday - then we will be celebrating 2 Birthday's this years that I missed and then next years alive and well, yippy! X |

Dear Justine, It felt like you and Jakesy were in the room with us last night; We had a mini Chelmsford posse of Hambo, Si, Jimbo, Chris and myself together again (after 18months); We talked of the good times to come and they told me of how great (smashing, beautiful, vibrant were all words used) you looked these last few months; We certainly toasted you and you are definitely not far from any of our thoughts; Hope you have something to take your mind of the upcoming tests; We are all rooting for a positive result for you my lovely; Oodles of hugs, luck, love flying your way Ollie p;s; Australia Zoo was a bitter disappointment, more like a money making circus; Although if it funds more research to help conserve the animal kingdom then cool I suppose; Felt like some of the animals could have had a bit more room to move (without being harrassed by staff, children or the general public);
11 October 2006 - Internet cafe in Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast

Sounds like you had a fab Chelmsford crew get together..well not long now, and Jon and I will be there too! X |

yo yo Justine, happy Sunday my dear; I am sitting with Simon in Brisbane having watched your clip again; You and JK were so good; I forgot to mention how much I liked Phil Schofield; He rocks! Who is the other presenter, she is cool; I like her and her questons were great; What a strange world we live in, i have had one of the most wonderful days of mylife today but seeing you both on TV (whilst sitting next to Jnr) made me feel SO homeisick; It made me feel both super happy and super sad; I am obviously delighted at how grand you looked but seeing Jakesy next too you made me feel like a ; well its hard to put in words but I certainly felt I should/could have been a little closer at hand; Whatever happens in life I do love you both oodles and if I was a Branson style millionaire I would have been back and forth every week; Well Sarge's stag do was great, dancing, fishing, laughing and fishing (plus eating over 15kg of fish); No problems at all; We cannot wait to see you and your wedding is going to be high on our agenda's for the cycle; Honestly, even whilst typing this I am thinking about coming home and hugging you, JK and G'ma; I better go and get the sleeping bag out as I am on Mikey Hamptons floor tonight; Take care tiger Lots of love, oodles of hugs and cheeky kisses enroute Oliver

Morning my lady, AN entry of epic proportions filled with your own inimitable style; It was wonderful to see your thoughts down in writing and I bet that it helps to sometimes write/type them out; When spirits fall (even if by just a little) any method to help you keep ticking along is a good one; Writing, painting, visiting friends, walking or cooking; You have been through oodles already and to keep going to see the peeps in the hospital is pretty damn brave as well (especially as with having more tests yourself coming up); Will be thinking of you, in fact Moorsey and I were just commenting on how we could have done with you in our quiz team last night (placed 7 out of teams); Keep up the smiles and I am counting down the days until I see you again; Oodles of love, hugs, Thursday kisses Olly

It's quite brave of you to do the rounds when you are at the hospital because there will always be people who have not made it or who have run into huge difficulties; You have done so well, there is no reason why you should go under now; Don't let the down side get to you - as you say, live for now - it must just be so marvellous after all you have gone through; Am keeping my fingers crossed for you;

Movie Review
|
Dear J, Not sure what the latet news is so thought I would send you a movie review instead; I just watched the Ant Bully on the IMAX screen because I was feeling miserable (as I could not leave the country due to visa issues); It was awesome; It had grean visuals effect, a good storyline, cool voices by big name actors/actresses (Julia Roberts, Nicholas cage etc); It was so cool and the children kept leaning fwd to touch the screen when it was clearly just an effect (although i found myself doing the same a few times); It certainyl cheered me up; What a movie! I would give about a 7 out of 10 in a normal screen but in the 3D cinema 8;75/10; Well worth the adults at childrens prices $12;5; Excellent! Well hopefully Australia will let me in tomorrow after todays debacle but until then lots of love and will be in touch ver shortly; your compadre Oli
2 October 2006 - Auckland STILL!

Hey Justine, Just checking in as its been a while; So sorry to hear about your friend; To leave before her parents isn't the way it should be but we never truly know what's in store for us and that we should try to live every day as fully as possible and always stay in touch with our friends and our loved ones; I am getting so exicted now that in under a month I will be home to see you and JK and my own family; TO think almost 11 months away! Hope all is well for you and Jakes, with getting out and about plus driving; Your standard of living is improving daily; Has he still got that beamer, I remember the car he left outside my house for ages; It brings a rye smile to my face now but before I wasn't laughing so much; Take care and oodles of love enroute; Olli

Dear Justine, You last written entry was truly from the heart and I am sure you helped in those difficult hours; I always keep with me the thought that i had better try and do something worthwhile with my life (time), especially as I believe departed buddies like Henry, grandparents and my favourite nun from jnr school are looking down from somewhere on my progress (keeping tabs from on high i suppose!); Your friend is hopefully smiling at your kind words and thoughts; Still it is strange what we personally believe in but one thing is for sure, we have to do our best by the people we meet (whomever they are and for howevever a short time); That, young lady, is something you are definitely doing; With love your mate oli
