Just, Gutted to hear about your friend; Call me if you want to talk; Though there may be no ryhme or reason to outcomes and circumstances, the sad demise of your friend reinforces the need for donor registration; Your plight showed me the need for it, with more awareness campaigning maybe people like your friend may be saved in the future; Every campaign needs a figure head - you go get'em girl! x
26 September 2006
Justine Responds:
Thanks Simon for your kind words, hope your wedding plans are going well. See you both soon. X |

Dear Justine, You and Kohny could host your own chat show I reckon, you were ace! Kohny could do the sport and half of the showbiz interviews, even some of the roving weatherman/ on the spot reporter work; You could take current affairs, fashion and health segments (which are the big issues here and in OZ, on morning tv that is); You would get invites to all the big gigs, some freebies for your fans (of course); Next stop HOLLYWOOD; Anyway enjoyed the this morning interview, bravo; You rock you crazy kids; Have a good day; From a morning TV fan (only when mates are on or HOSTING mind you);
21 September 2006 - Havelock
Justine Responds:
Ha ha..here's hoping I do become a presenter - then my life would be complete! X |

Great work on reaching the 2000gbp total on the fundraiser as well; Terrific! Glad the scan went well and will keep my fingers crossed that the 'R' word is not one we need to use too often; Also hope you get back behind the wheel soon, that could be excitiing; Not sure if I have ever been driven by you but you must be a better driver than jakesy; Looking fwd to seeing the clip even more now having read one James Sargents review of Kohny's current hair styling (a vertiable Willie THorne look); Still JK will tell you how statesmanly, intelligent and sofisticated he looks; Miss you both oodles so take care of each other and will be in touch shortly; All my luck and love enroute; Oliver

Good to see you're making such great progress and may it continue; At this rate we'll be sponsoring you for the Great North Run and the cameras really couldn't miss a bright pink cowgirl running with Jon dressed as Chewbacca! Olly's comment reminded me to keep copies of everything you do, then when you're a TV mega-star we can tell our kids - I knew of her before she was famous, or I know her for the really lucky ones; Good luck handling all that fame and fortune; Trev
20 September 2006 - Cumbria, UK
Justine Responds:
Ha ha..not sure about the fame..and fortune..where's that? Who knows..wouldn't it be great if I did become a Media Star...but I will always stay grounded. Stay well too. x |

Dear Justine, What an entry! Mammoth and extremely riveting; You did marvellously well and I am so proud of you (and Jakesy for 4th place); So glad to hear you had a terrific day and ran the last section, you are a winner young lady; I was also wondering was culinary delights JK has been cooking; Glad to hear you are back in the old kitchen; Tell JK to get a bit more practise in and he can cook me up a storm next month; Thought of you today as I watched the World Wheelchair Rugby Championships; Some of the guys had no legs and no hands but moved with such speed and skill it was unbelievable; Both teams I cheered for lost in the Semi's(Great Britain lost to the Kiwis, BOO!); These lads were so skillful in their modified chairs it was fantastic to watch; The only weird thing was the half time show, a 6foot man in Kiwi costume got pushed in to the arena and waved to the crowd; Then he jumped out of his chair in front of the 'Wheel Blacks NZ team' (as they like to be called) and started dancing feverishly to YMCA; A miracle recovery by the mascot!! Odd; Take care and congratulations again on raising even more money for the hospital; My hat is officially off to you young lady! Lots of love Ol
15 September 2006 - Hammer Springs
Justine Responds:
Never a dull day in your life...you certainly keep yourself very busy! Jon has been cooking all sorts..but I think I am a better cook..he he. So, I will cook you a meal too when you get back. X |

Hi Justine CONGRATULATIONS on completing your 1 mile walk and for running the last 50 yards; Although I ran the London Marathon in April, I feel that your achievement puts mine in the shade as I had nothing stopping me from doing it / doing it better apart from laziness; I hope your road to recovery is a smooth one and all down hill; Take care and keep well;
15 September 2006 - Hamilton, New Zealand
Justine Responds:
Maybe next year I could do the London marathon too....something to aim towards. X |

Dear Justine, I suppose it will be the Daily Planet next? Interview by a Mr C Kent; Still looking fwd to reading and watching all the latest news updates; By the sounds of things you are taking to this like the old duck to water; What next? I have not checked the final total but I am sure you exceeded all expectations as you have constantly done through this whole episode; I met more of the extended family today (which was nice); Also got bought a beer by some old dude who captained the All Black rugby team; Thing is I know nothing about rugby and I was 1 when it happened; But heh as JK will tell you, the best beer in the world is a free one and his one tasted grand; Probably should have got his autograph for my rugby mad uncle, oops! Miss you both oodles but not as much as I will miss you tomorrow; L O L Oli p;s; Some meteor hit yesterday and shook windows of banks/musuems etc; I thought the sonic boom caused was a bomb so was pleasently surprised to find it was this meteor (via the front page of the daily rag today); Lucky it was tiny and not Armegeddon size; Would have needed Bruce WIllis otherwise!
13 September 2006 - Cantebury Region, South Island
Justine Responds:
What a great entry...I could work for the Daily Planet and sit next to Superman...I'll keep dreaming - eh? He he. X |

Dear Justine Glad the training is going well and wish you all the best for Sunday; I read an article about a Sooty Shearwater bird (or muttonbird) and it reminded me of you; "This brid is truly tireless in its flight and has given rise to the Maori saying - 'He Manawa titi' - this translates to "the heart of a mutton bird"; The Maori's use this phrase to describe someone of exceptional courage; Very apt me thinks! Dear Justine, Hope the sponsorship is going swimmingly and your preparation is in hand; You have the best trainer in town, if JK can get the likes of me fit then you are in safe hands; Also hope you are having oodles ofluck in getting a good bill of health for the walk; I am thinking positive walking thoughts all the time for you (p;m;a); I have got to be quick this morning because I am muchos tired and want to go back to bed; Went on a guided walk through most of the night; Expensive but I finally got to see a fat Kiwi in the wild, not allowed to take photo's because the flash freaks them out but still have it stored in the memory banks; Flew in a 10 seater plane (pilot & 9 others) yesterday and have NEVER been so scared; Little girl of 6 got in trouble with Grandma for saying a rude 4 letter word (beginning with S!!) when the plane was bouncing around so much she came out of her seat; Not looking fwd to journey home, Lots of love Oli

Thank Crunchie its Friday, Thanks for all the info, you appear to be well on the way to raising anohter heap of money; Glad to see you and Jakesy are going to be on TV again, cool! Can't wait to see all the video bytes when I get back, I always thought I'd see Jon on Match of the Day (streaking ;only kidding) but this is just as good; Am in the Brown Trout capital of the world today but I have not seen one; Except the gargantuan model one which you can see for a good few miles; I had to act like a cheesy tourist and take a picture because its the most grotesque statue/thingy I have ever seen; Even worse than the big banana in OZ; Lots of happy friday feelings to you and the lad JK, Ol

Lovely to read your diary entry Justine and to know that your current set of challenges are because there is a lovely new life ahead of you to be lived to the full; We're back in Spain now and I'm enjoying getting my exercise by walking along the beach and swimming; Today it's quite blustery with huge waves so perhaps I'll have to settle for cleaning the house! Take care and love to you and Jon Helena and David

Hi Just, Good luck on the old walk, what are the old sponsorship details or address to send cheques etc; I am sure you will do blooming well; I read some really great words on the hostel wall last night which sum you up a little better than I could: A precious human life Every day, think as you wake up Today I am fortunate to have woken up I am alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it I am going to use all my energies to develop myself to expand my heart out to others to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings; I am going to have kind thoughts towards others; I am not going to get angry or think badly of others I am going to benefit others as much as I can; His holiness the XIV Dalai Lamai Anyway I thought how damn hard you are trying to help others and those words seemed to fit pretty well; Although if we are honest everyone gets mad, down, sad and angry a little so that's a littel hard to lvie up to for anyone; We can only try our best; Lots and lots of love and luck Oli

Dear Justine, Huff and puff, what a great expression; So apt yet so telling; What a bonus to be able to appreciate the ability to actually huff and puff after exercise; I am proud of you tiger, so much progress in such a short period of time, you are a super-girl; I am sure you will be able to blow a brickhouse down very shortly; I am happy as a sandboy today as saw the rarest penguin in the world (actually in the wild as well); My ferry got cancelled due to storms so went for a drive; I saw 7 Yellow eyed penguins (only 3000 breeding pairs in the world); they are so cool, they clean each other when they come out of the water; They then make a different call and the next ones come in; When they climb a cliff they do little jumps as well as waddling; Awesome! Take care my dear, oodles of love and hugs enroute, Oli p;s send Jakes some hugs from his old mate, that would be grand;

Hey hun, So glad to see that you are on the up; Unforunately the day is drawing closer that you will have to see m Ugly mug with a return to blighty scheduled for late October; Can't wait to see you again and all the other Chelmsford crew! have moved into a new flat today; It's really cool and has a gym so there's no excuse for me not to lose weight for Sargies and Tom's wedding; Perhaps any weight I lose I could keep in a box and give it to you in your plight to put on the pounds - ha ha! Fire alarm went off earlier - lucky i found out where the fire escape was early on (only moved in yesterday); Shame i didn't put any shoes or jacket on; Didn't realise that it was raining outside, and when the fire trucks turned up took 5 minutes for them to give building all clear after which I was looking like a drowned rat (no change there then); Anyway, just thought I'd drop you a note to say we're delighted about everything that's happened for you in recent months of recovery; Kepp up the spirit and let's hope the MRSA is negative; Here's to October All our love and best wishes for a continued recovery Mikey & Caroline Myitinerary;co;uk

To My lovely adventurer, You have been through the the biggest adventure of them all, a life or death rollercoaster - thrills spills close calls (some TOO close for comfort); Great characters - resilient beautiful heroine, strong, reliable sidekick and love-interest, loving ma & pa to call on in emergencies when things look ominous (you remember Indian Jones 3 with Sean Connery); Certainly sounds like a book or movie to me my dear adventurer; Will keep my fingers crossed for the third MRSA test, be clear be clear be clear! Sounds ike you are certainly getting more exercise; That is a 'chicken dinner'; Soon you will be bounding up those steps as if htey were not even there; Keep up the good work my lovely and can't wait to see your new picutres and newspaper article (well deserved I reckon); Anyway got to go as have doc's myself shortly and stink like a foxes den so better go get clean; All my love, Oli

Morning my dear, Must be cool to have access to the old computer; Magic to read your responses at the bottoms of yours fans messages; Hope all is well and that you have a magic weekend; I look like the Mitchelin man today as I have 4 layers of clothes plus my coat (and I have not even put on my waterproofs yet); Sniffles weather and tour off due to avalanche (bummer); Okay the story I mentioned yesterday; You don't get traffic jams on the South Island so when I came to a sharp bend (rocks one side and a lake on the other) & I could see a few cars/jeeps etc I thought there must have been an accident; In fact a farmer was moving between 800/900 sheep kilometres along a public road; This caused chaos as the tourists in campervans were going so slowly - with virtually nowhere for anyone to go and sheep all over the shop; When I get futher round and have been crawling along I see people gesticulating wildly & no movement whatsoever further up; Some Japanese tourists had stopped their minibus IN the road & got out & were walking in the road taking pictures of the sheep; This caused mayhem, the sheep did not know where to go, all traffic was stopped, the Kiwi's were out of their vehicles screaming at the Japanese, the farmer was trying to calm people down, the japanese couldn't see the problem as it was not normal for sheep to be in the road; It was bedlam; I laughed my tail off; Miss you and jakesy oodles so all my love, ol

Hello my sweet, Iron tablets eh! I thought you had proved you were tough enough already; Do you have some kind of book to keep tabs on when you have to take all your tablets, as unless you have a super memory it would/could get pretty confusing; Still I am sure you have it all in hand; I am sure you're parents are right and you look a million pounds; Are you going to put any new piccies up; Still happy as larry that you are on the up and up; Watched some people do bungy jumps yesterday; Some of the young ladies certainly swore like troopers when the jumped off (I was shocked!); I went on to the bridge to have a look down but it made me feel shaky; Still it made me appreciate even more how brave your skydivers were; Take care tiger, see you later alligator and oodles of love to you and Jakesy; Oli p;s; I will send you the answers tomorrow as I have again forgotten to bring them to the internet shop (sorry oli!)

Dear Justine, Hope you have a lovely weekend; I am not sure of any up-to-date news so i am going to have to bore you with mine; I met another section of the extended family and got an awesome lunch; Homemade soup, freshly made bread and muffins of the like I have never had before (tiny pieces of mushroom, onion, bacon, cheese in a MUFFIN); I could not have imagined those parts mixing well but honestly it was lovely; I turned up in Greymouth and saw the local bakers (est; in 1892) had the name of the family on that I was visiting; My family married into pie-makers, how good is that; Only trouble was the bakers was closed on Saturdays so no free pies for Mr Nash Jnr; Still the homemade cookies, muffins and cakes did the job; Miss you oodles, send Kohny my warmest regards (including big hugs!); L O L Oliver

You are my hero! Keep up the campaigning and keep yourself busy; All that you are doing is worthwhile; If you can get me to sign up to be an organ donor, then you can convince almost anyone; I know the weather is not the best at the moment with all the drizzle, but the plants really need it, it cleans the air for your new lungs and its better for sleeping at night; I have my new office sitting looking at Centre Point; Its a very nice view; I did not tell you I got promoted to Operations Manager, and I am about to get two more staff, making it six in total; Anyway, from our little chat, have you decided what delicious gourmet meal you would like as yet; I am painting my room this weekend, but maybe the following? Dear Justine, I forgot to say yesterdat that obviously I hope all is well on Thursday when you go for the check-up; I will be keeping the old fingers and toes crossed for you my dear; JK must be over the moon at the moment, as your good news is his good news and vice-versa; Euphoric would probably be an appropriae word; Send my love to my old mucker and tell I him I miss him oodles too; Went whale watching and it was awesome; We saw some 14metre sperm whales; Then went and spent hours watching the lazy fur seals again; I could live here if it wasn't SO far from my mum, G'ma and friends! We had a funny case of seasickness yesterday; One guy got really ill, then his young boy got ill then a young girl saw the boy and followed; This went round the entire boat and over 60% of the passengers started getting ill; It was surreal; I took myself outside as quick as I could; I don't get seasick but it made me feel rather uneasy to watch this procession of people go greeny/grey! Still probably one of the most memorable dys of my life; Can't wait to see you my lovely so take care and good luck thrusday; All my love, luck, thoughts, Ol
