hi hun, Good news we did the skydive today and god was it crazy!!!! We have had it filmed and should get the dvd in about a week so i'll try and send it to you for you to have a look at; I was absolutley petrified going up in the plane and everyone else (including Jade) was singing and laughing and really couldn't wait and i was just a wreck; I went first too so we just sat on the edge of the plane and plummeted through the sky at mad speed; Its really hard to get your breath your going so fast i just screamed; I was twirling around and around; we only freefell for about 35 seconds but it didn't even feel that long; Then the parachute opened and there was a massive jolt which the harness dug in so have a couple of bruises but it was so amazing; It was crazy when we were falling with the parachute everything looked so tiny - i kept asking for him to spin me round and round it was great; The landing was ok too i landed on my bum which didn't hurt with all the padding; Well i'm glad to read your diary entries; I will be in touch with the sponsor money very soon; Lots of love Lei xxxxx

Justine Responds:
Well done you two, very proud of what you both have done. Thanks so much, and will speak soon. X |

Dear Justine, So many messages, over 1600 now! You are a popular, inspirational and quite lovely bunny you know; Not sure if its being here in NZ but don't seem to have been any updates; Maybe this wacky computer; Just cost me $12 to try to unlock my aussie mobile phone on the tinternet; How annoying as I had just saved $8;13 on a pair of slippers in a sale, there goes that bargain! I hope you have been keeping well and the next update will include oodles of fabulous news; Went to a nice German doctor today and he seems to know his stuff (better than the shabby doctors I have seen of late); Even gave me his email address in case (when) I get this childens book published; Town is quite cool but quiet and very cold (super fresh!); Well off to do some more bookworm stuff, take care and looking forward to some positive news; All my love, Oli p;s I hope the daredevils have GRAND luck and fair skies today; YOU GO GIRLS!!!

Dear Justine, Hope all is well except for a bout of Henmania, of course; I have just heard a rumour from a Scottish lad that he is already out; Until I see it with my own eyes I can't and won't believe it; We are only a few days in to Wimbledon! THought I would send you a note about the best bargain ever; I really despise McDonalds, I am a Wimpy man or Burger King for the onion rings; However Maccage do one product I love - a soft serve cone like an old school Mr WHippy; In NZ its 50 cents (17pence), and you get a big cone unlike in OZ where the give you this tiny cone; What a winner, although I got some strange looks as it was about 5 degrees today; Take care my dear and more news tomorrow; Loof forward to your nest update and diary entry; Love OLi

Justine Responds:
Hmm a Mr. Whippy with a chocolate flake...yum yum. Although today, I had an orange solero - hmmmmmmmmm.....even more yumminess! X |

I am hopeless; I have to sit in with my aircon,lol;But I shouldnt complain; How is your new look coming on? bet you look amazing; I'm a bit old for purple, I would look more like Alice cooper;lol; I am just getting ready for my fix of big brother;there is going to be 5 new house mates this week, and the one that gets voted out goes into the new house; I am sooooooo excited; I think i had better do another marathon as my life must be getting boring;lol; I love Niki, i do quite a good impression of her, but I can't run around to much or i trip over my tube;lol; Anyway Jus, I had better go, you take care, keep smiling, and be as brave as always; x x x

Morning campers, We are definitely on different days at the moment as it is 8;30am here in NZ and 9;30pm over there in sunny England; So therefore I hope you have a great nights sleep, sweet dreams and wake up to a friendly smile and some good news; I never normally sleep on the top bunk in a dorm because I have to get up at least twice a night for a break to the little boys room (& I don't like sleeping that high from the ground!); However last night I had no choice; I was on a bunk where even the slightest movement caused a metallic squeak, squeak; This would then set of a chain reaction of movement from the other 7 blokes in my dorm; You can guess how happy everyone was this morning, me having gone to bed at midnight after reading and then waking them all up at 3am, 6;30am and then 7;30am when i got up for the day; Oops, glad i am checking out today as those lads may be tired and moody; The joys of sharing a room with 7 guys never ceases to tickle me; Have a positively excellent day my dear and i will try to email you from Thames when I arrive; All my luck and love Oli

Hello Tiger, How's your day been? Terrific I hope; Still not sure what the latest is, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for good news; Are you watching any of Wimbledon? In fact are you a big tennis fan? I hope Henman wins because he is a bit of british drip but he's our drip and thats cool with me; Even though, I use to like his Persil/Robinson's orange adverts; they always made me laugh; GO TIM GO! I can feel the Henmania building already here in Auckland; Well I finally arrived in New Zealand today after being stuck on the runway for a while; the pilot said, "Sorry about this but they have just got to FIX a couple of things" - I would have appreciated a little white lie at that point - certainly not the truth; I was worried during take off something my fall off (the plane not me!); Watched X-men 3, not bad (6 out of 10) but that is from a diehard X-men fan; I can see why most people hated it (as most sequels suck - barring The Godfather and Empire Strikes back); Would have liked to seen Superman Returns on the 3d Imax but it was sold out; Well missing you loads as ever, so will PMA you some good thoughts over the waters; All my love and hugs Oliver

Justine Responds:
Sorry Olly, I'm more into football than tennis...and much to Jon's joy - I have been watching some footie. X |

Hey Jus, thought I would drop you a quick line; Hope you are feeling well, it's great to see you back on the web, writing in the diary etc; Not sure if you got any coverage of Nicole Kidman's wedding at the weekend but that is where Sarge and I are getting married!! Very exciting - she had to go and copy us didn't she; hmmm;Wedding plans are coming along, hope to get them all sorted by the end of July so we can just relax; Was sorry to hear your bad news, but at least you are getting called up for the operations which is a plus; Keep your chin up my love, really looking forward to catching up when we are over; I'll bring you some vegemite! love Ange x

Dear Justine of Stylishville, I hope all is as well as can be in your world today; No new update due to the time difference so I will have to be very boring and tell you about my butterflies; It's strange because no matter where you go or who/what you see, when you actually KNOW you are leaving friends (& a country you have grown use to) it is hard; I think some of the butterflies come from not wanting to fail this course and the rest are because NZ does not contain Angela or Sarge; My Oceanic support group of friends, who keep my spirits high even though I am far away from G'ma, Mum, you, JK, Chris'bloke, Cas, Tom, Skinny, Den et al; I remember getting butterflies at school before a latin test when I knew I had not done enough work; I knew I had played pool or gone to riverside instead of studying; The stupid thing is - it is not really that important in the grand scheme of things but if you really love your mates etc then it will always effect you the same way no matter how hard you try to think of rainbows, beer, playing petanque with JK, watching Cas build a BBQ etc; Anyway they seem to have subsided whilst I am writing this so I will know carry on packing my bags and working on ym lesson plans; I miss you immeasurably and I wait with baited breath for the prospective lungs to arrive post-haste for you my loveliest of lovelies; Send JK a cheaky kiss from me and from my ma because he always made her laugh; You are both leg'ends and love you oodles, Oliver

hey lovely, just checking in again; Had a bit of a difficult few days after coming out of hospital but seem to have stablised again (woohoo!) and so am staying out for the meantime; Busy day today, we had ITV filming for national transplant week (I mentioned you!) they were here for quite a while so we were pretty exhausted by the end of it! But it is good exposure for the live life then give life campaign so I am definitely not complaining! The sun has disappeared at the moment here, but the air is quite nice and fresh at the moment; I am resting up loads for the rest of the week to try and get back to parr a bit more - my IVs are due to finish on friday and I really want them to end the course! Not much else to tell I dont think, I will keep you up to speed with media movements, best of luck with yours chick, I will bat anything I can your way ;) Big hugs, stay smiley and strong xx (buy a Tshirt for transplant week at livelifethengivelife;co;uk and get Justine, me and the other 6700 people waiting one step closer to a new life!)

Hello and happy mondy to you my dear, Sarge and I are both thinking of you this morning; We hope you have a grand day, get to go for a wander and it is always nice to see you answering all your FAN MAIL! He is off work due to a rib injury sustained during the heavy 3-1 loss (and not a football hangover as his bosses may have thought); I think I am rather an unlucky mascot for Sarge's team, I only ever see them lose! Here are the phoiba answers for you as well - Venustaphobia - Fear of Beautiful women Anuptaphobia - Fear of staying single (I will have to remember that one just in case!) Nostrophobia - Fear of returning home Climacophobia - Fear of stairs (you would have to live in a bungalow!!) Coprostasaphobia - Fear of constipation (nice) Rhytiphobia - Fear of getting wrinkles Syngenesophobia - Fear of relatives Batrachophobia -Fear of frogs & toads Gephyrophobia - Fear of crossing bridges There seem to be SO many phobia's; It is lucky Leila has not got a phobia of aeroplanes, heights, strong winds etc otherwise that would make the difficult virtually impossible (oh & good luck to darings girls for the jump on the 30th); Okay I am off to work on some grammar books a friend has lent me; Take care and all of our love is enroute; Oli & Sarge p;s; England to beat Portugal 2-1
26 June 2006 - Manly

Yo buddy...amazing phobias that people can have, wow. My only phobia is fear of not getting new lungs...hmm...but, soon that will go on my 4th call - I'm sure. X |

Hi Justine, Well isnt your life just like a roller coaster, up and down, up and down! What a shame that you didnt get your lungs again this time, but as your family have said, its really good that this is the 3rd time in a matter of weeks that a transplant has come up, so im sure your new lungs are not too far away; Stay as positive as you are and im sure your wishes will come true eventually; Hope you have been enjoying the footy with JK, my sis and I watched last Thursdays match in London after work, I got really drunk and had to take Friday off work, felt very poorly and apparently (as Gav has told me) I was quite lairy and was shouting to all our neighbours outside our house - what a lady i am!!! Hope you have a chance to get out of your room again and dine at Chez Harefield, and maybe feel the sun on your face; Take care, look after yourself and keep on fighting; Lots of Love xxx

Hi Justine; My name is Lorraine Winn; I have worked with Jon in the past as a recruiter; Although I don't know you or Jon personally, when I became aware of your current battle, I felt compelled to offer my heartfelt support and encouragement, and to share with you my own, different, experience; I hope you do not mind; We are in completely different situations Justine, but we have both been dealt a bloody awful and unfair blow so young on in life; We have both been forced to think about morbid stuff, and have to struggle with illness, lack of energy and fear; I was diagnosed with breast cancer last September; I was 26 years old (turned 27 in January) and was 23 weeks pregnant at the time; After my third attempt of convincing my GP that something really wasn't right, I was finally referred to hospital where I was given a biopsy and mammogram which very quickly confirmed that I had cancer; I remember feeling completely numb when I was told the news; All I could think about was the baby growing inside me; Would my baby die? Would I die? Would my baby also have cancer? As soon as I was diagnosed, the treatment plan all happened so quickly; My paediatrician was not happy with me having the baby right away, so we all agreed to wait, and deliver my baby 6 weeks early by planned caesarean; I was told that I would, however, have to have a lumpectomy and lymph node clearance plus two cycles of chemotherapy, all whilst pregnant; After the constant reassurance of my paediatrician and surgeon of the safety of my baby, I agreed, and had the operation and chemotherapy; The tumour was just over 3cm, and was Oestrogen receptive and HER2+; This is the most aggressive form of breast cancer, and is a type that, if had the chance, would return; Problem is, if it ever did return, and manage to spread, it would then be terminal; On 15th December 2005, despite all of the predictions of a tiny baby who would need special care, my beautiful baby boy Joshua, was delivered at 34 weeks, weighing an impressive 5lb 8oz; Miraculously, he didn't need a single minute in the special care unit, and was actually ready to come home before I was!! Since then, I have completed a further six cycles of chemotherapy, and have another 5 of 20 radiotherapy treatments to complete; After that is completed, I will undergo a year of Herceptin treatments and 5 years of Tamoxifen tablets; My outlook is bright; I am determined to be a cancer survivor; My beautiful baby Joshua, and my incredibly supportive partner Neil, as well as my large loving family, are all constant sources of strength and inspiration; I have had my down days, which I strongly feel are important in the process of dealing with such an ordeal, but ultimately, I remain strong and positive; I do of course, hate, that this has happened to me, and to my family; I hate that I received this news and underwent an operation and chemo whilst carrying my son; I hate that so many decisions were made for me, and that I had very little choice in any of it; I do, however, feel grateful for this learning experience; I still have over a year of treatment to get through, and then another five years of Tamoxifen; But my life is in perspective; My son is healthy and fabulous; I have a large, loving family; I appreciate what is important in life, and what really isn't! My partner been amazing, as have my entire family; I am lucky and I am happy; I am determined to survive, and strongly believe that a positive state of mind is imperative; (Almost impossible at times; but imperative!) Justine, I know that we are going through very different situations, and I know that I am fortunate for having medications that will very hopefully keep the illness at bay; I just wanted to share with you my experience, from one young woman to another; We have both had to think about, and deal with things that we really shouldn't have to; But we are; Let's keep positive; Although very different, your current situation has hit home with me; I offer to you my warmest and most sincere love and positive thoughts and wishes; Lorraine; xxx

Justine It was so good to see you yesterday and words cannot describe how your life has changed; Your positivity is outstanding for your situation; You know however that you have friends and family; The most important people are there for you come rain or shine; You are such a wonderful person and give people more than you probably realise; So, another setback has come along and I cannot even begin to imagine what it must feel like; But I do know this - you are in the best place for support and the chance of your transplant; You also are a tough little cookie and will keep on fighting; I look forward to my next visit, with your rather amusing request of cheese! I'll also drop some DVD's off, so you can escape to the outside world through the imagination of some producers and directors; Its how I escape; See you soon and love you with all my heart; Mark

Yo AstroJustine, Great to hear from you as ever, you certainly know how to brighten a lads day up; I will PMA some cooler weather but not too cool of course; I also hope you had a good kip last night (I slept on the couch so I could get up when Sarge arose to watch Australia play Brazil at 5;30am); Well without further ado i will put your mind at rest with a few ANSWERS: Arachibutyrophobia - Fear of Accidents Being clumsy this is must to know Anthophobia - Fear of flowers (what a bummer that would be, I love getting flowers but rarely do, boo-hoo!) Ballistophobia - Fear of being shot! Doesn't EVERYONE not want to get shot? Chorophobia - Fear of Dancing - would someone be able to watch Dirty Dancing with this phobia? Cymophobia - fear of waves (so you could swim in a pool and not in the sea, rather ODD?) Ecclesiophobia - Fear of Church - I am sure many youngsters who want to play footy on a Sunday morning have developed this very suddenly! Gelophobia - Fear of laughter (this would be a shocker to have, I literally cannot even imagine life or 1 day without laughter! Iatrophobia - Fear of Doctors - no comment my dear! Peladophobia - Fear of becoming bald (I have a fear of the classic comb-over look) Phagophobia - Fear of eating (this could make life tricky!) Porphyrophobia - Fear of Purple - Hmmh! Some weird ones, I used to have a phobia of moths but have got over since travelling; I still hate having injections big-time but its not phobic (I am just rubbsih!) Okay today phobias Venustaphobia - Anuptaphobia - Nostrophobia - Climacophobia - Coprostasaphobia - Rhytiphobia - Syngenesophobia - Batrachophobia - Gephyrophobia - Enjoy the quiz my dear and I still wish I could be one of the people at visiting time, well can't wait to see you in October; I am on the same flight home as Moorsey Jnr 7 possibly the flintmeister; All my love, luck, hugs, kisses and thoughts flapping over the ocean as I type, Your mate, Oli

Hey honey; Long time no type - sorry but I am slack; But then you already knew that didn't you?? Anyhow, I would like to make a donation so you can get your equipment fixed; As I am travelling I don't have my blankety blank cheque book and pen; Well I have a pen but no checkbook; I was thinking I could transfer some money from my online account to JK or to yours or the daredevils over the internet; That would be the easiest to me; For some reason I'm having problems with my outgoing emails in that they don't go out so I can't contact anyone via email to get details; Could you or JK email me bank and sort code information so that I can transfer money into an online account for you; I'm staying at the moment in a hostel with Caroline (the english nurse) I met in Melbourne and the hostel is slap bac on Bindi Beach in Sydney; Great views - just a shame about the 13 degree temperatures and cold ocean winds, but Bondi nonetheless; Hope things pick up for you, I bet your hair looks great and its nice to see your keeping up with looking stunning as per usual; Best be off for now, but love and kisses sent from across the pond; Lots of Love Mikey

Hope all is looking up for the weekend and you recieve your quota of visits from super family and friends; I am sure you are looking truly splendid en ce moment! What a great result for England! I was chuffed as stayed up until past 4am with Sarge (we were a little tense to say the least) to watch the game; Scrappy game but who cares as long as we are through (6 points in the onion bag as Sarge likes to say); Missing the UK World Cup bonanza as 7 Warwick Square was a sport playing and watching Mecca in its day (with numerous male and female residents including you, JK, Olly Number1, Chris'bloke, Paulo Moore, Moorsey Jnr and Caspar); Here are the answers to the previous quiz: Pandora's - BOX Haley's - COMET Fulton's - FOLLY Col Sanders - SECRET RECIPE Dante's - INFERNO Charlotte's _ WEB Aesop's _ FABLES King Solomon's - MINES Rosemary's - BABY Gilligans - ISLAND Seward's FOLLY (bit of a trick question) Anyway here our some more teasers for my favourite bonnie lass; :question: :question: :huh: Phobia's - here are some strange ones Arachibutyrophobia - Anthophobia - Ballistophobia - Chorophobia - Cymophobia - Ecclesiophobia - Gelophobia - Iatrophobia - Peladophobia - Phagophobia - Porphyrophobia - okay toodle-pip for now; Have just had a cracking chinese with Angela and Sarge; Keeps the cold away (any excuse for a chinese); We did the classic british thing and clearly ordered too many dishes; At least we know what is for lunch tomorrow! :cool: All my luck, love and thoughts currently on a strong wind heading your way, Ollie

The sun is still shining outside, :cool: I am on the 3rd floor so it's quite a nice view; Keep on fighting Ms, I hope to read of continual improvements and that your pump is fixed asap! Dear Justine, As the lovely James Sargents official BBQ secretary - I would be delighted to invite you to a little Winter BBQ in Manly; Although it may seem a little far away at present the invite is an open-ended one, this offer is valid for many MANY years; All meat & salad provided, you will just be required to bring your awesome smile, indomitable spirit and maybe a bottle of wine for Angela; :cool: The whole smiley faces thing is pretty cool, I like it; I am sorry to hear about your recent ups and downs; Wil keep my fingers crossed for a few peaceful days for you; Although I hate to agree with Flinty, I am also surprised Cohonez is not off on a German jaunt, I thought at least the squad would have taken Jon on a coaching capac :laugh: ity; Well I will go and find those answers and add them to my next note; You are never far from thoughts of all the Aussie crew (although my membership of that gang is coming to an end very quickly - with my year visa running out in two weeks); Love, hugs and more kisses Oliver

Dear Justine,
Sorry to hear you are grounded, a very Top Gun term; Thinking of you and hoping tomorrow will bring a little more luck; With the webmaster being away, how am I going to get my hit of news; It will be like the moment in that Jim Carey film - when Truman goes off the air for the first time in his life and everyday people start freaking out, phoning the TV company etc;
Here is Johns World Cup snack recipe; if he practises he can have it perfected for you in no time
Mini cheesy schnitzels with tomoato relish:
1 x 170g prok fillets, trimmed 2 cups of fresh breadcrumbs 1/4 cup chopped parsley 1/3 finely grated parmesan Flour for dusting (dredging) 3 eggs, lightly beaten vegetable oil for shallow frying 400g of canned chopped tomatoes 1/2 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar 1/2 teaspoon olive oil Sea salt & cracked black pepper
Slice the pork into rounds & flattenwith a rolling in; Combine the breadcrumbs, parsley and parmesan; Dust the rounds in flour, dip into the egg and press into the breadcrumb mixture to coat; Cover hte base of a medium non-stick frying pan with oil & heat over medium heat; Cook the crumbed pork in batches for 3-4 minutes each side or until cooked through, Set aside; Place the tomatoes, sugar, balsamic, oil, salt & pepper in a small saucepan over high heat & cook for 2-3 minutes or until warmed through; Serve the schnitzels with the tomato relish; Serves 4-6;
A speedy world cup snack for half time;
hope john enjoys and hope he gets to cook it for you shortly;
All my love and hugs,
Oli

Dear Justine,
i hope the sun is still shining and the warmth has permeated the hospital walls; I hope you r circuit training is going well and that JK is not too far away (as he's luvly!);
Answers to the Male / FEMALE quiz: Aviator = AVIATRIX (sounds cool!) Sire = DAME Ram = EWE Maharaja = MAHARANEE Stag = HIND Billy Goat = NANNY GOAT Gander = GOOSE (F) Sannup = SQUAW MONK = NUN FOX = VIXEN DRAKE = DUCK
Well todays game is a little different: its about possessions; Each name has a very distinct possession linked to them; e;g Aladdins ________ - LAMP
So here goes; Pandora's Haley's Fulton's Col; Sanders Dante's Charlotte's Aesop's King Solomon's Rosemary's Seward's Gilligan's
Well that's enough to be going on with; Some easy some more tricky; Hope you enjoy; Tell my old mucker Jakesy that I have got a cool recipe for the world cup, I will send it tomorrow;
All my luck, love, hugs and thoughts,
Oli

Hey, hon - thanks for the mention in your diary; Will have to print it and frame it for when you get famous and are a billion dollar best selling author; Has anyone suggested to you that you try something like reflexology or Reiki while you're waiting for the tx? It's good stuff and might help you feel a bit stronger; Glad to see the Justine fanclub is expanding; After you've left Harefield, they'll have to name a ward after you at this rate or at least hang your portrait in the main hall right next to the one of Magdi Yacoub; Hang in there - it'll be your turn soon, just you wait and see; Big hug, g;

Dear Just,
I am glad the sun is shining in your part of town, and oh how right you are - mood enhancing is SO SO true; When its cold and wet it is so (all too) easy to feel grey, drab, uninspired and moody; But when the glorious sun shines, it makes smiling contagious, people are more receptive to each other and life genuinely feels better than it did when you woke up; Roll on the good weather for you!
Some of your friends are truly 'hardcore on the dancefloor' for jumping out of a perfectly good aeroplane (or airplane as my American friend kept correcting me!); Bravo to them both;
Well take care my dear and as ever great to read the up-to-date diary entry; I am off to bed as have been feelling a bit waafty; Got out of Hervey Bay this morning; If I ever thought I could run a hostel, I now don't; I had forgotten how much I hate office/hostel/workplace politcs; Too many arguments for my liking; Roll on a different career, dog walker perhaps (I am a little scared of dogs but I hear they can earn oodles);
Will send you those answers tomorrow and a few more so get thos grey cells working,
See you later Aliigator,
Oooodles of love and hugs
Oliver

hey there Missy, just checking in again with the same old waffle, but I want to so that you know you are still in my thoughts;;;;I have had a really busy week, it was a friends hen weekend and I went to a club with my oxygen on for the first ever time! V v tired but it was worth it; She made our Tshirts the official hen weekend shirt, which was great as the girls were out and about round london with livelifethengivelife;co;uk emblazoned on their backs;
Glad to hear you have been bumped up to ensuite! The staff sound so wonderful at harefield, I am not surprised you are being treated as a somewhat celeb! Good to hear you are getting out and about a bit around the hospital too;;;;it must have been so disappointing having your second false alarm but like everyone else says, 3rd time lucky, so come on call number 3!! 15 months as of yesterday on the list for me, I think if I didnt phone them every now and then I would think they'd forgotten me! ;)
Transplant week is first week of July so we are working like mad towards it to try and get as much publicity as possible; Anyway keep on smiling Justine, as you can see loads of people still rooting for you every step of the way; Much love xx

Hi again Justine, really sorry to hear about the 2nd time unlucky, but im 100% sure it was just a practice run and the 3rd time will be a success!
Ive been referred to a pulmanologist now, what a nightmare though; Its t;t; week here at the moment, the island is full of motorbikes and the roads get shut for days for the racing; The hospital is inside the racecourse and of course, my appointment was sent for a day when the roads will be shut, so had to cancel it; So just have to hang on for another week or so; I used to love it over here as i used to make motorcycle leathers, but now i hate it (must be my old age LOL!) but the weather is scorching hot for a change so its not so bad; Its normally like a mild winter all year round over here;
Its nice to hear that everyone knows you at the hospital, i still feel wierd when people recognise us here yet i dont remember them! Im sure they dont mind but its lovely all the same; I found the food in the restaurant here was lovely so hope its just as nice there, its better than the food on the ward (as its fresher); We were there yet again yesterday for an eye check up for David, know my way round with my eyes closed now :D
Have to go, but take care, try and stay strong and hang in there, *it* will happen soon; My thoughts are with you, us aquarians are very strong people and i just know you will be ok oneday soon; Love and hugs, Sarah x

Hey girl - glad to hear you're in good spirits; So you thought the hospital canteen was nice??? Gulp! You really have been missing the outside world, haven't you? As of tomorrow, it's meant to be lovely and sunny so I hope you manage to find a nice shady spot on the grass where you can sit out and enjoy the fresh air, the trees, the birdies, the smell of freshly cut grass (unless you have hayfever!) and all your family and friends around you; That's the good thing about the setting of Harefield - if you're not looking at the actual building, you'd never know you were on hospital grounds; You might even feel well enough soon to go for a whizz round the village and into the pub for a quick half pint of mineral water! My latest news: have been told that the tx prof in Newcastle considers me to be ripe for transplant, or words to that effect; In any case, he sees no reason for me not to have a tx; Quite what that means in terms of what happens next, I don't know; Will probably find out more when I go for my next check up in August; By which time you, of course, will be breathing freely with new lungs ;;; Loads of love, beautiful girl; See ya, g; xxx

Hey Justine, Firstly, I AM SOOOOO SORRY FOR NOT MAILING YOU FOR SOOO LONG!!!! Lets just say that I've had a few things to deal with; Back on the straight and narrow now though; I know you've probably heard enough sorries from everyone to last a decade, but My heart goes out to you on your near miss for the 2nd transplant; Well, as the saying goes, 3rd time lucky; We only want 100% for you and those lungs were just not up to your standards, we can't have that!!! I am so busy working at the moment that I have not had any spare days as yet but as soon as I do, you won't be able to get rid of me (permission granted of course)! Will sign off for now chick, but chin up, everyone has their day & soon will be yours; Thinking of you, Gemma -x-
