Hi Justine, What a disappointment! Never mind, it wasn't your time yet, great that the docs are being so thorough at least you know they want only the full 100% for you; Third time lucky, that was just the dry run; Best Wishes

Justine,

I've just logged onto the net and had my daily look at your website;
I'd firstly like to say how great it was to hear you've been out and about; It really hits home to me how lucky we all are to have our freedom and health and how much we take for granted; You really are an inspiration and it sounds as though you are getting stronger day by day;
Secondly I'd like to let you know how dissapointed I was to hear you've missed out for the secong time on your transplant; Being in Australia, I think one word they use alot really sums it up;;;;;BUGGER !
But being the eternal optimist and one hell of a fighter I'm sure you'll get over this recent set back and the transplant will be round the corner; I've got everything crossed it'll come soon;
Look after yourself and give that fiancee of yours a kiss for me (well maybe not a kiss and more of a manly hug) and keep smiling;
All your frinds in Aus are thinking about you and i'm sure positive thinking and praying will get you that transplant sooner rather than later;
See you in October;

Love Sarge

Hi Always Sparkling Justine Laymond !

My boyfriend told me that he left a message in your gust book; Do you remember Tonguc? You are the one that brought us together;
Justine We are at the hospital too; Evin is sleeping now and I am looking at the pigeons at the window; It is quite curious; They turn their back to the outside world and check inside the rooms most of the time; We even have seagulls in the morning, big ones;
I loved your poem in your last diary entries;
Beatiful poem;;
I mostly liked the ceiling part;
Our thoughts are with you, me Tonguc and Evin;
We are dreaming of being back home and lay down our beds and fall asleep with our siamese cat's soft breathing;
I wonder what are your dreams now;
Say hi to Spencer!
Loves,
b

Dear Justine,

Sorry for not being in touch my lovely especailly when it seems so much has been going on in you life; My thoughts are always with you and I am sure the third alert will be the ones for you;

I am so glad you have got to have a walk outside, the fresh air must have seemed like a dream; You probably felt like you were walking on air;

I have been missing your diary so much but been so caught up in 'work' of all things that I had not noticed the days fly by; When I have 30 emails in the box and ones from my Ma unread, I know I have got to stop and slow down for a bit; It's just I have had the inspiration for another book about 'How to run the perfect hostel in England or Australia'; I have written so much already that I thought it was worth a go; Anyway I will have to wait and see if it works;

I had a staff crisis the other day when a 6ft 5 Canadian staff member got drugged at a nightclub (probably meant for someone else!); I had to go in the ambulance and he pulled through hours later; It is horrid because what would have happened if it was one of the tiny girls who worked here; I hope karma catches up with the person who did that;

Take care and I will be in touch tomorrow; All my love, hugs, thoughts, prayers, smiles are flapping through the air as I type;

Your friend,

Oliver

p;s; your recent poem is printed out and travels in my own folder as inspiration to try to write some more (although my poor efforts pale in comparison to your splendid work)

Hey Justine,

YAY! Just read the latest news on you and saw you have taken your first outing in the outside world! It must have been so surreal, I remember how overwhelming it was for me in the summer and that was nowhere near as long as you have been inside so I cant imagine what it must have been like for you;

I am doing ok - still working hard towards national transplant week which is in July; I spoke to a lady from the BBC the other day and I think they are going to do an article on the livelifethengivelife campaign which will probably go in their healthpages, yay!

Still spreading the word hon;;;;come on that transplant, and in the meantime you are just doing so amazingly and still getting stronger and still fighting on; Keep on going! Sending love as always, Em xx

Hi Justine; Wow!!! I am so pleased you have been out-side; I have been praying hard for you; The fresh air must have felt glorious and I hope you had the sun on your face; I have read the poem and it's lovely; I've been learning a bit more rumba this week; It's very slow (which is good for me)! and, so they tell me, "the dance of love"! so hoping to finish it then!!! Hope the weather stays fine and you can get some fresh air again;
Much love Justine and God Bless xxx

This is the Laymond news at ten

Rumours are currently circulating that Justine Laymond has turned to the philosophies of MR T in an attempt to shorten her hospital stay; Patients passing by her ward have reported sounds such as "I Pity The Fool" and "No More Jibba Jabba Sucka" being directed toward the medical profession - especially the docs who can't give her the tummy injection without hurting her

Shares in Nik Naks are still showing a steady rise after it was unveiled by Nik Nak head honchos that Miss Laymond is a devotee of their crisp variety; The Harefield area is currently experiencing shortages in supplies as most have been bought up by members of The Laymond Clan in order to feed Justine's habit

Justine,

Sending positive thoughts to you from across the pond;;;I grew up in London, and am an avid soccer fan;; been Chelsea since 1967, so back to back championships is great; I was in London this March for the Spurs game, and it was truly magnificent to be back in SW7; This is the area where I grew up;; along the Gloucester Road; I went and saw my old house, and did some tourist things as well; It had been over 25 years since I left at the tender age of 18; So I had a lot of catching up to do; Do you follow football? With your red hair, don't tell me you are a Man U fan;;;; :)

Came across you website from a very helpful guy on the Brighthand Website, and follow the link and read about your challenges; I truly wish you the very best, and hope you find a donor ASAP; Cheers;;

Hi Justine! We heard rumours that you might be going home soon; You've either gone home, or you've moved rooms, as we all used to see you on our way in and out of work! Well we all hope you are on the road to recovery (until your transplant comes along) and we all send you our love and best wishes; Liz says hi too, she's been signed off on sick leave until her baby comes along (in 4 weeks) because of high blood pressure! so she's bored stiff at home; If you haven't gone home yet, drop by to say goodbye before you go! lots of love from Everyone on B East xxx

Justine Responds:   Webmaster Note: Justine has been moved which is why you can't see her. She is now in Room 9. Her movements are restricted as she has a suction pump connected to her chest drain. Pop in and say Hallo to Justine if you or any of the team on B East have a moment. Justine would like to see you.

Hiya Justine, glad you are getting better but dont let that depression get the better of you;

I have actually got a day off from caring today for the first time in months, David has joined a disabled foundation and today they are taking him for a pub lunch then to one of those laser paintball places!!! Next month they are going for archery lessons! I dont know what to do with myself though;

My lungs are still behaving themselves, i had to have a lung function test which i thought was horrible due to past experience in the itu(had some awful flashbacks of the life support machine), the man who did the test remembered David when he was in the itu, and was really nice about it; But my lungs are working perfectly :) even though they shouldnt be according to the x-rays; My consultant wrote to me last week to say i dont need any more tests or treatment for the time being, thank goodness; Just need to keep working on David to get better now, he is on tons of medication which is making life easier though;

Had better go, i promised myself i would put on a face mask and relax whilst i have some well deserved peace! But will no doubt end up doing housework or stay glued to the computer til he comes home;

Am thinking of you always and am keeping my fingers crossed 24/7 for the you-know-what;
Love Sarah x

Dear Justine,

I may have to make up a daily update for you as this wacky internet I am on in Hervey bay does not seem to be working properly or updating properly - so here goes;

The beautiful girl awoke with fresh dreams of birds singing, the sun shining and a breeze caressing her cheek; Firstly Justine enjoyed the sweet smile from her fiance before hitting the bicylce for nearly 3600 (easy!) seconds; She wandered around the ward with her portable, she had an irrisistable air about her, one of confidence, happiness, thoughtful yet ever so slightly cheeky;

Handsome Doctors turned and smiled in the corridors (causing them to bump into numerous items); Nurses waved, the wave of a friend not an aquaintence;

Her lunch tasted superlative, as if cooked by the Queens chef and served on golden platters; After chatting to her Ma & Pa, writing her diary and having a visit from a close friend she settled in for a little Tv;

Justine went to bed knowing that tomorrow was another day that she was willing to face head on, in her true inimitable, inspirational style; Her head began to drift; sweet dreams embraced her whole-self & percolated into her subconscious;

I hope your days have been filled with happiness & hope, hopefully this was something like one of your previous few days;

All my love, hugs and thoughts

Dear Justine,

I hope you are not suffering from any Monday blues; Thought I would check up on any new updates but its only 6;30am in England so not likely;

I am in a noisy internet cafe waiting for my train to Maryborough (& then coach to Hervey Bay); Very, very sad after leaving my relations this morning (felt like a drink at 9am, although I did not have one); That is the strange thing about leaving people (& also airports I suppose), you just never know if or when you will ever see that person again;

Still tomorrow is tomorrow, no matter what my melancholy thoughts are today;
I am distinctly lacking in my own PMA today but it will come back like the proverbial lost penny!

Missing you oodles and I hope you have a productive (diarising & walking wise)and a painless week;

All my thoughts, lol

I'm with you every single pidegeon step, reading your diary makes me realise that little things we take for granted and even moan about, we shouldn't; I had to go supermarket shopping today, which I didn't enjoy, then I read your diary and you are chomping at the bit to get out of that room, what the hell am I moaning about!!! It does put things into perspective; Just remember, you are building up your strength so that you will be ready for the lung (or lungs) so that you can have a normal life again (including moaning about Tesco's !!) hang in there Justine, God Bless xxx

Dear Justine,

Your own personal musicians, cool or what! I only know of two people who have roving minstrels who come to play at their bedsides 1) The Queen and 2) the other Queen (of pop) Elton John;
You are a special little lady;

Glad you have been able to move around a bit more with the portable, sounds like a picnic could be well and truly on the cards; Make sure Kohny makes some special french stick, cheese, branston and crisp sarnies ( truly out of the top drawer but may sound rank!);

Well it is the last full day with my Grandma's sister and her ultra funny husband; It makes me feel rather sad as she is so so frail and I have no idea when I will ever get to see them both again; My time in Oz is now stictly limited and my next visit will be for Sarge's wedding so a non-family (even though I class Angela & Sarge as family anyway) visit!

Well I look forward to your next update, Justineworld would be a great place to visit as long as its not like Steve Irwins zoo; Meaning - if I visit Justinesworld theme park will you actually be there! Steve Irwin even has his under 10yr old working to placate the angry mobs who go to his zoo to see HIM;

Wishing you oodles of luck fo rthis upcoming week and I will be in touch Tuesday (as I have a long day travelling tomorrow);

See you in while crocodile,

Hi Justine sorry you're struggling a bit just now but so pleased you can see all that lovely nature from your new room; The birds will lift your spirits I do know and the green will soothe you; Sorry about the big spider, good job Jon was on hand for you! I am really impressed with your cycling turns; I've been struggling with( Bronchiectasis) tight chest this week and physio has been difficult so exercise has been nil; I did have a curry on recommodation, (which I've not had before) and it did the trick! I coughed up for Great Britain!!! I think it will have to be for medical purposes though as I don't have a taste for it - Yuk! Well take care and God Bless Justine; xxx

Dear Justine,

How's it going tiger? Happy Friday; Hopefully on this fantastic Friday, you will see more sunshine, birds, butterflies and the sweet sweet smile of JK (your fella's got a charming smile - but heh you already know that);

I am still missing both of your smiles if I am honest; Not been up to much, went 10 pin bowling with a group of young lads (aged 60-85); I came eleventh out of twelve and yes I did lose to the 85 yr old; Still i scored 90, which for me is brill (also I got charged the OAP rate!)

Just getting all packed, notes written up, post done etc before heading off for two weeks work; "Work" - quite looking forward to some paid labour at a large hostel in Hervey Bay; Warmer temperatures, cool lizards and a swimming pool; If I've got to work - I need these factors to help me through;

Hope to read another champion diary entry soon - so toodle-ooh for now;

All my love

Hi Justine, I just wanna say hello and tell you that I'm thinking of you and wishing you from the bottom of my heard that you soon gonna get a lung wich suites to you or even better two;;;; so you can leave the hospital and get back into a more normal life; I can emagine how hard it must be beeing in the hospital not able to leave;;; you know I'M working everyday in it and see people who lay there for a long time; sometimes I try to emagine how it must be to lay there and are cut of from everything what is outside of the hospital;;;; But stay as positive as you are and I'm sure jon brings you things what keep you connected to the outside;;; Here in germany the summer is still not really there, but we had already a few days with really noce sunshine; Next month the worldcup gonna start and I have to say that even that I'm not a fan on football I start to get excited;;; so many people gonna be in Stuttgart from all over the world;;;; I'm still doing my nursecourse;;; I like it more and more even when I have my doughts and sometimes I take the wight of responsibility working with people who relay on your proffesionality too hard on my shoulders;;; but 'm getting better;;; I just can try to do my best;;;;all my love and good wishes, lisa

Hi Justine,

I just heard about you today and have been reading on your website about your condition; I think it is wonderful how upbeat you have managed to remain;

I have been fortunate to not have any major medical problems but my wife has been a little less lucky; About 6 years ago she had to have a lump removed from her breast that turn out to be cancerous; We were very fortunate in that they caught it early and she was able to make a complete recovery; But we still live somewhat in six month segments between mammograms;

We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers;

Hi Justine,

Sorry to hear from the news update that you were feelin down; Depression and anxiety were probably my toughest obstacles on the whole transplant journey; The emotional aspect of the illness was incredibly difficult, much worse than any physical problems I experienced;

I see you are a Big Brother fan; I will be addicted to it like I am every year; Have watched it from the very first series; Summer doesnt seem to have arrived till BB kicks in;

Remember, when you eventually start to see people I wanna be in that long queue; I am gonna be just like those fans lining up to see Wimbledon or the latest big selling music act;

Visitor leaving hospital :" what are you sleeping outside the main door with a flask and a blanket for"

Trev "I'm here to see the Jus"

Visitor "Who? That a new band or something - and why are you sleeping outside a hospital to see them?"

Trev " No; The Jus is inspirational, courageous, remarkable and fantastic"

Visitor "well i never flamin heard of her;;;so there"

Trev "Only the chosen few know who The Jus is;"

and as nightfalls more and more Jus fans line up outside the hospital; Wimpy Burgers in hand they are here to see Miss Inspiration herself; Long Live The Jus

Dear Justine,

Not read todays update due to the 8;5hr time difference between us; I hope your dreams were filled with peaceful places, sensuous smells, fantastic food and melodious music;

Had one of the best days of my trip today, finally saw an Echidna (alive and not roadkill), in fact saw 4 of the cunning little fella's; Visited a sea lion colony, went on a night-time penguin tour, saw some Oz & NZ fur seals; This island is an animal paradise, with the jet black tiger snakes everywhere this place is truly magic; The sun shone brightly from 6am after days of cloud cover;

The penguin piccies are rather poor but some of the others are cool so will post on Thursday;

Take care my lovely and thinking of you, all my luck & love

Dear Justine,

I finally found the tiger snake that was eating all the penguin eggs; I was so so happy; It was over 5 feet in length and black & pretty aggressive;

I ran and told the ranger and he removed it (he probably killed when I was not looking but said he would relocate it); I will send you the piccies on Thurs when I get to the main land;

I saw penguins a plenty and then went for a steak a glass of vino;

Miss you loads and cannot wait for the next update,

Glad you got the piccies & thanks for the message; Lovely touch; Sorry to hear you were feeling a little blue about the possible long stay in the hospital; A few tears never hurt and never fail to make you feel a little better;

I'm on kangeroo Island, no phone signal & more penguins than people; Been looking for some tiger snakes that have been eating Penguin eggs (according to local ranger); Still no luck just yet;

I have treated myself and hired a car for a few days; The island is too big to cycle; Have met a cool guy from Iran today and a lass from Bill-a-ricky! Small world; Still she was nicer than Miss Trap-a-lot from the bus yesterday;

I will send you some piccies of penguins & sea lions if they come out okay; Have a splendiferous day and send JK a wink & kiss from his old mucker;

oodles of love & hugs,

Ollie

hi justine
just read the update about the consultant; good and bad news i suppose; it must be tough knowing that you are facing more time in that place and not at home where you ought to be; I am so glad that the team believe in your chances of lung replacements; i am just wishing they fly their way to you soon as i dont believe there is a more deserving candidate;;; :) so were you pleased re sir alan's choice - i personally thought the girl a bit weak and flakey but then its not me that has to work with her! and big brother starting soon - just think of all that televisual delight!
my son, alex is doing well the best he's ever been at the moment his energy levels are so improved with the oxygen but keeping the cannula in his nostrils is quite a cross to bear!!
got everything crossed for you as usual

Olly aka enraged passenger
Dear Justine,

Sometimes the inspiration for poems comes from the strangest places; I had just got on a bus into Adelaide with my notebook; I was making some more notes on the spider poem when ALAS, possibly the worst girl in the world got on with her boyfriend (a mouse of a man); She was truly awful; Well the poem is about this lady (I use that term so loosely that it is hanging by a thread);

The Bus Ride From Hell (or I love Cars)

We were all ordinary passengers no longer but comrades,
We shared a bond, a link, one true cause,
Our calm was shattered, the noise levels rose,
By the girl who spoke without a single pause;

Her discussion was of the one-sided nature,
Her beleagured boyfriend looked in need of comfort,
His ears bright red, his brow well beaten,
I wish I took the car, not public transport;

How did she manage to catch her breath,
We all had to listen, we all had NO choice,
Yet she accused US all of eaves dropping her,
She assumed we wanted to hear her grating voice;

Please don't get me wrong because I love to talk,
But we all could not wait for the next bus stop,
Her language was vulgar, a true potty mouth,
I wished I had my neighbours CD player & Hip-hop;

I honestly prefer those rickety vietnamese buses,
Where babies p#$$ed & parents would sit & chuff,
Rather than listen to this cantankerous girl,
Only too willing to swear & discuss her belly button fluff;

She clammered, she shouted & blamed everyone else,
Yet still the bond existed between all of us,
She swore, she she yelled & talked some more,
So PLEASE remember never to cause such a fuss,
When you next go to catch a public bus;

By Olly

I was going to change the P word to -wee'd but I thought I should go with my original choice of words (sorry mum); not bad for 40 minute bus poem!

Missing you loads and will try to be in touch from Kangaroo Island,

Lots of love

Olly

p;s; I WAS not kidding when i tell you what she was discussing on the bus, how gross!!

Hello Justine Amstrong,

How does the yellow jersey feel today; I think you can go for the polka dot jersey now (pink dots on white jersey, very fetching) - only given to the queen of the mountains; Keep peddling tiger!

The wimpy sounds good and always reminds me of the one they use to have opposite Chelmsford bus station; I think the guy was Greek but he was a SUPER friendly stavros style character; Even if the kitchen was not the cleanest, the burgers and service where the best in town (the hot chocolate was a winner as well); My brother practically lived in there, before & after school (before he was allowed in the Red Lion that is!)

Well still very cold but my Grandma's sister got back in the kitchen the other day, the first time since her op; She made me fairy cakes with sultana's - light, plain but lovely! Still another sign that she is hopefully heading towards the road to recovery;

Thinking of you my dear and tell Jakesy I expect him to be cheering on the Irons this evening;

All my love and kisses are migrating to the warmth to be near YOU;

ollie

hey Justine, I was on the ITN lunchtime news today doing an organ donor plea! I wanted to let you know before hand but didnt know how, it was only a few minutes long anyway; Hopefully some people who watched it signed up to the donor register, it was a good piece following a new article that the BMJ have released saying how the refusal rate from next of kin (which is currently 40%!) is one of the biggest problems;

Anyway I thought you might like to know I am still shouting from the rooftops for us and for everyone else waiting; I really hope they manage to find a portable suction pump for you, as that would give you just that bit more freedom; Keep on mending Justine;;;sending love as always xx

Hi there Justine, So please to hear that you are on the up; Did you enjoy the Apprentice and do you think the right woman won??? I thought the Badger was far too stroppy to be employed and that Michelle was much nicer;

hmm, your diary entries are getting longer, cool - at least I KNOW you're getting back to normal (almost!!);;;oh - and I CAN'T believe you've settled for a Wimpy!! at least it was yummy, Jon's cool for scouring the county for a burger and milkshake;;;
Right, I have survived the trek up a hill (ok, slightly bigger than a hill - it's about 900m high) - I've now got some ideas to get you up there (but you're still walking it), it's so amazing, I'm not that great on heights but boy, it's absolutely exhilarating - you'll love it;;;also you can't go hill walking if you can't rough it in a tent!!! beg, borrow or steal one if you have to!!;;;
In the meantime, keep up the cycle turns, pile on those pounds, enjoy a chinese, indian, italian, french, spanish, blah, blah, blah, whatever you fancy, get your new lungs and get out of there (in the nicest possible way!!);
PS - get back to MSN soon; still miss you;

Dear Supergirl,

Wow! Be careful of tennis elbow, or writers wrist; What an entry, it certainly blew the grey skies from my dank Thursday; Splendid marvellous and lovely jubbly! Great to hear the number of turns going on up, the number of tubes going down and the make-up (not that you need any my resplendent compadre) going back on; As good a message as I could have hoped for on this oh so chilly day;

Not been up to much today, however as its so cold (& visa is running out) I thought I may as well go on one last animal expedition, so have booked coach & ferry to get to Kangaroo Island; Funny things is that I am not looking for Kangeroos but seals & penguins; Fingers crossed! Not going until early next week though as West Ham is in the Cup Final on Saturday - so cannot miss that; Although watching it will make me feel homesick for my footy boys (inc; coach JK & Eaton Boy) & girls! Goodness, I will even feel homesick from the other West Ham fan in Sydney (old Sarge);

Okay I had better get going as Grandma's sister has gone to bed and I don't want my tap-tap-tapping away to keep her up;

Keep up the awesome progress remembering that the sky is the limit; You are a wonder, lots of love

Hiya Just,

Im so pleased to hear you sounding so chipper, I bet that was truly the best wimpy burger and milkshake EVER!!!
Glad to hear you are improving and getting a bit more strength back each day, soon enough you'll be back to your good self and enjoying life again; Its very true that a little bit of make-up and a bit of pampering can do the world of good, and I bet you look like the justine we all know and love again, just need to get yourself another hair colour - maybe purple again??

Keep it up lady and give JK a kiss from Gav and I;

helloooo Justine!

Am really enjoying reading your lovely diary entries! YAY for enjoying eating again! I bet it's weird after you havent eaten for so long; Chinese sounds like the way forward to me definitely! I am doing ok, lungs having a bit of a strop at the moment but I think that is due to pushing myself a bit too much (oops);

Fab to hear about your hair and make-up - that's always a sure sign that you are feeling better when you start being able to invest energies into how you look, although I thought you looked beautiful as always when I saw you weeks ago :)

Keep on going onwards and upwards Justine, as you say you have overcome so much, you are a real fighter! Sending love and mendy thoughts as always xx

Hi Again Justine

Have you heard the news? Shares in Wimpy are through the roof after their biggest fan extolled the virtues of their produce online; In a statement, Wimpy Boss Eric McWimpy said "we are delighted that Miss Laymond has used her blog to promote our intensely satisfying burgers; we feel the great lengths jon went to get Jus our burger shows how loyal our fan base is"

In other news, the BBC have announced Justine Laymond will be the first contestant on their new reality show "Glamorous girls in their hospital beds"; A spokesperson for the organisation had this to say; "We have been tracking Justine for some time - now we have recived the news that she is all glam again we are delighted to feature her on our debut show"

The chef who cooked Justine's chicken a few days back has launched a scathing attack on the patient for her claims in her diary that his chicken was "chewy"; In an interview with ITN news the chef rebuked Justine's claims and stated that his chicken was tender and juicy and that nobody had ever claimed otherwise;

and finally - a dog in Lancashire has startled his owners by doing somersaults whenever Terry Wogan appears on TV;

Hello

Yes you sound as if you are becoming your normal self again by the upbeat diary entries;

No I definately would not like a day in the life of Justine Laymond; I don't think I would have your strength, but then again neither did you; Keep fighting superwoman;

Don't worry about the scars - you have already found the man of your dreams, but they are only scars anyhow; We all have them mentally and physically; You just have a little more now :0)

Burger! Oh my goodness have I not taught you anything; Well I suppose the hospital food is not that great either; But I will join you for that crispy duck and plum sauce;

Any good recommendations for tv show at the moment?

x Mark

Hi Justine

I nearly fell outta my chair here at work when I got a text from you; Would have replied straightaway but I have no credit at the moment - it was simply superb to hear from you directly;

Are you all ready for the big Apprentice final tommorrow night? It could be over by the time you read this so hopefully its been as great as the rest of the series;;;;

Work is terribly dull today for some reason; Nothing terribly interesting to write so I am just indulging in a spot of daydreaming ;;;;;

Keep the spirits up Jus - and continue to be the Number 1 source of inspiration in all our lives

Hey kiddo

Last weekend had a blast; I did the promotional photos for this Rollerskating venue thats opening up; There were about fifteen of us altogether; Each had to wear a different costume - so I went shopping for a sailors outfit; Looked quite cool actually and you will laugh at the photos;

We started off at 13:00pm and got on a special double decker bus for us to change into outfits and also to drive us to tourist spots in london; There we would jump out on our skates and be filmed and photos taken;

I ended up a little drunk but it was great to get back on those skates; The nights starts off on the 11th June;

Other than this, lots of dinners so now having a very quiet week; See you soon;

Big kiss;

Yo Justine,

Top drawer diary writing my lovely; I know it must be a drag to still be inside the hospital and probably still for a while longer but at least you have the expert guys/galls close at hand if you need them; You still seem to be in pretty good spirits which is bonza;

Chewy chicken sounds a littel less apetizing than your usual fair; I had pork, potatoes and brussels for tea but I wish I could have got away with wearing a wooly hat at the dinner table; I was as cold as a church mouse with not a single strand of straw for a blanket; I wore two pairs of socks today (a bummer considering I only own two pairs of socks!!), may have to consider some cold related purchases tomorrow;

Apart from that I have been writing up my animal notes & working on a few poems; Well I had better go as my Grnadma's sister has had to go for a pain-killing injection at the surgery (not due to the pork I hasten to add), so had better finish the dryting up;

ALl my luck & love & hugs

Hi Justine

Knew you had good taste - and now seeing that you are addicted to The Apprentice like me - even better taste; I have watched the show since the American series of The Apprentice with Donald Trump first aired on BBC; I was glad Paul got booted out, I couldnt stand him; What an egomaniac - hope you weren't like the girls in the newsroom here who kinda liked him :) Syed was ok, he made the show entertaining

I thought Michelle did really well in the interviews, but I expect Ruth to emerge triumphant; Did you know she left her husband and is now in a relationship with another woman (according to the tabloid tittletattlepress who can not always be relied on for sound information)

I am expecting you to continue to break your world record on the bike, and in every other form of exercise; You are a true fighter -

Longing for the day when you can turn round to your LAM and say - "You're Fired"

Thinking of you lots

I am back in Adelaide visiting Grandma's sister; She is a truly lovely lady but I thought she could not get any smaller after the last time I saw her; She has had a recent op so is also trying to put on some weight; I wish you both every success in that department; I am trying to go through the vegetables & foods with her to find things that don't further irritate her stomach (so I can cook for her);

I am wearing three layers tonight, INDOORS it is so cold; I am off to buy a big jumper tomorrow; After Brisbane I am so so cold;

Miss you loads and will be in touch shortly, thinking of you

Hello Justina

Not sure if you got my text today in response to yours on Fri? Sorry for the late response, we slept away from home for the w/end and I forgot my mobile at home;

I'm so sorry to hear that you are in hospital again and for so long already - I was none the wiser! Only just got back on line again (hence my new email address below) and have not been able to follow your site from work as we are monitored; I have checked out your site today and have finally caught up on your news; Fingers crossed (holding thumbs - the South African version of fingers crossed) that you hear good news on Thurs with regard to your transplant; You are doing such a FAB job as I know you would, so just keep smiling that lovely BIG smile of yours my friend;

Bruce and I are fine, we moved in to our new home on the 31st of March and are still trying to get settled; My brother Robi was here for a couple of weeks - visiting from Canada and so having all the family here put a stop to our unpacking; We celebrated my Mom's 60th and it was a most Magical time to spend with the family - we haven't all been together like that in many, many years; I'm sure it's one birthday my Mom will have the most fondest memories of - having all 3 of her kids together at the same time;

Other than that, our new home is lovely and so is the area - Pontyclun (pronounced Ponty Clean - some Welsh for you); We are very happy and absolutely thrilled to finally be on the property ladder; We have a lovely new sleeper couch and it has your and John's name on it, so as soon as you can - Bruce & I and Wales are calling you - come and spend a w/end and enjoy the lovely fresh Welsh air; It's so brill here!

Will email you again soon and will keep checking your site to update on your news; Keep well and strong and don't forget to keep that smile;

Miss you my friend;

Lotsa luff to you;

I'm not sure if you got my text today in reply to yours on Fri? Sorry for the late response, I slept away from home for the w/end and forgot my mobile at home;

I am so sorry to hear that you are back in hospital and for so long already - I was none the wiser; I have only just got back on line since my move (hence my new email address - below) and today I have logged on to your site and caught up on your news; Fingers crossed (holding thumbs) for your transplant news to come through by Thurs! You just hang in there my sweet, by the sounds of things, you're doing a FAB job!

Bruce and I are fine, moved into our new home on the 31/03/06, but are still not quite settled yet; Loads to do around the house and we haven't had much time to get stuck in; My brother (Robi) was over from Canada and we had the whole family staying over and of course this completely stopped the process of unpacking while everyone was here; It was a absolute magical time to spend with my family and we celebrated my Mom's 60th to the full; Still can't get over the fact that my Mom is 60 already - I don't like to think about it much at all; She had a brill time with all 3 of her kids together after so many years - it's definitely a birthday she will never forget;

Other than that, I don't really have any more news; Just really happy that summer has arrived!

I will email you again soon; Think about you all the time;

Keep well and keep smiling that BIG beautiful smile of yours;

Hi Justine,

I found your site from a link in a forum, really looks like some people love you very much; Hardly suprising for a women as strong and beautiful as yourself!

Just thought I'd sign the guest book, as requested, Good idea to actually ask!

I'm not sure if you'll reply, but I don't mind if you don't; Coz comforting words are so easy to say, yet so powerful; Someone recently helped me greatly with just a few words; The best wisdom tho, only comes from one place, it's the only book that's been around for the longest;(Well, 1st part of the OT is); It's helped me a lot too; Thought I should mention it incase it can help you;

Dear Justine,

82 turns in a day, go girl; Probably more than Mikey & I could manage; So glad to hear & feel such super positive vibes coming from the daily updates; Bonza!

Hope you'll be up to another diary entry next week, how is work coming along on your private diary? Getting any weird dreams at the moment?

last night I dreamt that I was on a bike tour of holland with my primary school friends; it was our 20 yr school reunion; All the things went pear shaped and I was blamed so ended being kicked out of the group, I ended up helping an old dutch lady out who spoke no Englsih - at a Rotterdam flower show!!

Hmmhh - All very surreal; Have no idea what brought that on, but still better than the old dreams I used to have;

Not been upto much today unless you count, cleaning out cupboards, rearranging store rooms, polishing handrails etc etc; Did not even leave the house today as have been working all day (except to take recycling to the the bins);

Well my dear I am flying to Adelaide to meet up with my Grandma's sister, tomorrow morn; May have to hire out my house elf skills when I get back to England - will work for peanuts, no job too dirty except I don't do ironing!

See you in while crocodile and hope you feel like (at least) $9;87 million when you awake this cloudless Sunday;

All my love

Dear Justine,

Happy Saturday my sweet, hope all is going okay this fine weekend; Glad the reports all still sounding on the positive side;

On the phone to blighty this week and it sounds like the temp has been up & down like a yo-yo; I will keep my fingers crossed for warm weather and delicate breezes to come your way;

Missing you girls & guys, still oodles & oodles; Not been up to much today, helping around the place in true house elf style; Had a glass of vino with my family to celebrate a hard days work;

i did see loads of cool spiders webs out on my walk today so am trying to work on another poem, will send it to you due course; i won't get much time to work on it tomorrow as my family out here are getting the house valued on Monday so tomorrow = spring cleaning from dusk till dawn; Still best to stick to things I am good at - cleaning; A lads chores are never done;

Will see you later alligator, lots of hugs & love bombing its way, at a rate of knots to find you,

I have just had two new people start work this week, so busy training again; I seem to have a really good little team at work right now;

My mum is also making a fast recovery from her knee operation, which is great so good news all round;

Be good;

Hey Justine,

Fantastic news that they have started to mention discharge! I totally empathise with your feelings of aprehension and nervousness - I went home with my chest drain in, so if that is what they decide to do and you want to chat, please feel free to get someone to contact me and I will answer any questions you have if that would help;

I am doing ok, am aiming to participate in the 5k this september if I am well enough, (some of it in the wheelchair and with my O2 wacked up obviously!) so have started doing some training, albeit very slow small walks around my road! Still you have to aim high dont you;;;

I am sure you will be fine, you are doing so well and those new lungs (or new lung perhaps now!)are hopefully just round the corner; Keep on mending and focusing on today and working towards tomorrow;;;the team wont discharge you unless they are happy with things; Sending you lots of love and mendy wishes as always! Keep going Justine!! YAY; xx

Dear Justine of Lovelyville,

Not sure how you are feeling today so i will have to guess ;;;;; great, superlative, bodacious, bubblicious, beatuful, stonking ;;;; I hope these are correct;

I have absolutely no important news so I am going to have to bore you with the trivial stuff; I have spent all day food shopping or cooking for my aunt; I cooked a nashy beef & veggie special casserole with herb scones (like dumplings); i have already tried this once on Angela & Sarge (yes they are still alive to tell the tale);

However today I jazzed it up a bit and added (3 types of onion, leeks, garlic, carrots, cubed sweet potato, potato, mushrooms, oodles of red wine - one for the chef one for the meal etc etc); So below is the recipe for the herb scones which rose like the proverbial phoenix from the flames; I always get down when they sink titanic stylee, so I have been smiling for hours;

Herb Scones -

250g (8 oz) self raising flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
60g (2 oz) unslated butterm chilled & cut into cubes
1 tablespoon chopped herbs ( I used parsley but Grandma thinks rosemary is better!)
115ml (3;75fl oz) BUTTERMILK - if you can;t find buttermilk add 1 teaspoom of lemon juice to fresh milk!
1 egg, beaten

When you have 10mins to go on the casserole, sift flour & salt into bowl; The longer you sift the better they come out (grandma's second tip!); Add butter using flicking action of the thumb across tips of fingers; So messy (but wicked fun)!!
When mix resembles fine breadcrumbs add herbs, buttermilk until its in large lump; Draw together and make a ball; Place on lightly floured tray and bash & nead asap; Roll or punch until its 1;5cm thick and cut with glass etc into round shapes; Job done - 10 scones made; But hark i hear you call what about the EGG; Okay place scones on top of stew/casserole and then brush on egg/add etxra herbs and ground pepper to taste and hay presto; Pop whole deal back into oven (at a higher temp - 200deg C) and wait until golden brown or 12 minutes pass;

The will have grown exponentially, I hope;

okay enough already I hear you shout; The point to all this is that I would LOVE to cook for you as soon as I get back and maybe someone will knock you up a cheeky scone in the meantime;

All my thoughts are with you, laters alligator

love

Ollie
